The preservation method of idle valve to prevent rust damage
(1) Regular maintenance:
Valves that have been idle for a long time should be regularly inspected and maintained regularly to prevent valve corrosion and damage. Valves that have been idle for too long should be tested with equipment, devices, and pipes before they can be used.
(2) Protection:
Prevent other objects from hitting, manipulating and disassembling. If necessary, the movable parts of the valve should be fixed to protect the valve.
(3) Anti-corrosion treatment:
Pull out the packing in the stuffing box to prevent galvanic corrosion of the valve stem. Apply anti-rust agent and grease to valve sealing surface, valve stem, valve stem nut, machined surface, etc., depending on the specific situation. Paint parts that should be treated with anti-rust coating
(4) Spare parts
Spare parts shall be stored in good condition along with valves to ensure the long term operation.
(5) Clean the valve:
The inner cavity of the valve should be purged and cleaned without residues and aqueous solutions. The external surface of the valve should be wiped clean free of foreign matters, oil stains and dust.
