What are ball valves types
The opening and closing member (ball) of the ball valve is driven by the valve stem and rotates around the axis of the ball valve. It has been widely used in petroleum, chemical, power generation, papermaking, atomic energy, aviation, etc.
Ball valves come in a wide variety of functions and can be divided into the following categories:
I Based on function
1. Bypass valve
2. Air valve
3. Pressure relief valve
4. Drainage valve
II Based on operation
1. Pneumatic ball valve
2. Electric ball valve
3. Hydraulic ball valve
4. Gas-liquid ball valve
5. Electro-hydraulic ball valve
6. Gear operation ball valve
III Based on structure
1. floating ball valve,
2. Trunnion mounted ball valve,
3. Fully welded ball valve
4. Obit ball valve,
5. V-type ball valve,
6. Three-way ball valve,
IV Based on material
1. Metal material valves:
carbon steel valves, alloy steel valves, stainless steel valves, cast iron valves, titanium alloy valves, Monel valves, copper alloy valves, aluminum alloy valves, lead alloy valves, etc.
2. Metal valve body lining valves:
Rubber lined valves, fluorine-lined ball valves, lead-lined ball valves, plastic lined ball valves, enamel lining ball valves.
3. Non-metallic valve:
ceramic ball valves, glass ball valves, plastic ball valves.
V. Based on seat material
1. Metal to metal seat ball valve
2. Soft seat ball valve
